Guess Who

Who's the goofy family member on the floor, in church clothes, right before Mother's Day lunch? Grandma!!! She couldn't resist a little one on one time with her first grandbaby. Wes & Sara have already taught him to sit and lay down.Oliver was checking out Grandpappy. He was playing the role as fashion police. -5 points for dress socks and slippers. + 10 points for the hat.

Green Thumb

Ben had a GREAT idea for Mother's Day. He works at a green house and brought home all the materials needed to plant flowers. After lunch (cooked by Kait, Ben and Anna) We all hung out together and worked on the flowers. We love our Mom!! Ben showed us how to plant properly He's a pro!Dad rocked the straw hat

New 'Do

She's been growing her hair out for a long time and many of us were lobbying for a cut. She was planning to cut it at the end of her senior year, but had it chopped off sooner! It looks good! (Translated: We told you so!)

Girls Weekend

The girls hit the road to visit Grandma Gertie over the weekend. We kicked off the visit by checking our blood pressure (Don't worry, we're healthy) and watching the Kentucky Derby. We ordered Chinese food and ate lots of it!! It's our favorite.Sara gave us a cool idea: painting windows! We got them for $1 each at His HouseWe set to work and brought out our hidden artistic talentAnna went for a 70's look. Groovy baby.Grandma's a REAL artist. She showed us up.Mom decided on different flowers for each pane.Kait did a school theme for her someday classroom. Her school bus ended up looking like a monster truck. We spent a lot of the time either avoiding Lucy or playing catch with her. The only problem is that Lucy is on the chunky side and doesn't get much exercise. After about 5 minutes of playing she could use an asthma inhaler.Group picture after church. We love Grandma and enjoyed hanging out with her!

Friday Fun

The parentals made Friday a huge work day. We clipped bushes, dug out pipes, fixed up lawn furniture, scrubbed the deck... it was torture. They have a funny way of knowing when somebody tries to sneak back inside, they always find you. Could this be the first swimmer of the season?? Testing out the waterHow about some pushups to get warmSit ups?First swimmer! We will be joining him somewhere around late June.It was getting close to dinner time, the parentals were still working and we were off the hook. Wrong. We were recruited to paint the deck. Anna was not a happy camper. We decided that we only have 2 choices in life:

Plan A) Live in a tin can with no grass or trees. Tin can and cement.

Plan B) Marry a super rich Cardiothoracic surgeon and hire a bunch of workers while we sit and eat bon-bons.
The look of determinationOur work day ended when the toilet overflowed. Dad doesn't understand the importance of taking pictures to make a blog interesting. He just called for more towels. We are thinking about getting a job like Ben has so that we can be gone on days like this too. We did get pizza for dinner so that was a plus :)
