Ben

He really does live here, believe it or not. He doesn't make it in a lot of the pictures, but he's around! He likes to whip out his laptop to look like a smart college guy. In this picture he was sharing his new knowledge of history.

Can I see your I.D.?

Wednesday was Kait's 21st birthday! The whole fam + Kent came for taco salads, cake and presents. Taco salads are the best.
Future elementary teacher!! Mom and Dad are stocking the classroom library with cool books. The famous Cat cake. Many of us had this cake for our 1st birthday. Dad went straight for the face when making the first cut.Kent made an AWESOME stand for the kayak. He's got skill in the wood working area.
The plaid over-shirt makes the picture look country :)
One of Anna's Christmas presents was two tickets to see Annie downtown. Well dontcha know, she got sick a few days before. But she was a trooper; she got dressed up and went to see it with medicine in her pockets to keep her feeling okay.

Mario and Luigi

It's amazing what a little baking soda and vinegar will do to a stopped up shower. Don't worry, we used the "Sink Only" plunger Mario did all the work, Luigi was the project manager and looked over the details...

Squeaky Clean

These bible verses are now displayed on Mom and Dad's bathroom counter. Kent is practicing his wood burning skills so he made this sign for Dad. Kent found the perfect bible verse for him. Very thoughtful and encouraging. According to this verse, Dad is SUPER clean! We think it should be Dad's (mid) life verse. "When a man has lost his hair and is bald, he is clean. If he has lost his hair from the front of his scalp and has a bald forehead, he is clean." Leviticus 13:40-41. Amen!

Snow

We saw snow last night! It's sad to think that we used to build huge snow forts & tunnels and now we get excited if we just see a few snowflakes. We were doing the rain dance to see if it would turn to ice... no luck.

Belated Christmas

We didn't spend Thanksgiving or Christmas with Mom's side of the family so we headed down to see them for the day on Saturday. We had planned to get on the road by 9, but were late.. Anna was our weakest link. Caught ya!! Kent tagged along because he knew he'd get to play Rock Band for the first timeGrandma got to spend time her her great grandson, ChristopherIt doesn't look like he's really into family gatherings, huh? Check out his outfit. He is decked out with rock star animals and ready for..........ROCK BAND!

Rock Band

The extended fam brought Rock Band and we played all afternoon. If you've ever played you know how much fun it is! Here's the rock star Queen, Aunt Lynn. She looks confident, but her drum skills need a little practice. Andrew rocked it on the guitar every time. Dad and Conner jammin to "Mississippi Queen"
Our Rock Band pros, Ben and KentThe back up dancers

Chefs at Work

Kait, along with her cooking apprentice Kent, were asked to make dinner tonight. We think this is because Mom is still trying to get past her failed attempt at Oyster & Collard soup. The next Rachel RayThis is the finished product... Chicken & Vegetable Fettuccine Alfredo. Thanks Kraftfoods.com! We caught Kent in mid sentence and with a carrott in his mouth with this picture.

Double Word Score

There's nothing like a game of Scrabble to create some family bonding and competition. Dad was pretty paranoid that people would look at his letters so he hid them under the table. Our years of schooling and the knowledge we've received really started to show. We used words like zit, as, meats and navel.Kait pulled out the win even though Anna challenged her (non existant) word "feal" and she lost a turn. This the first(and probably last) win for Kait.Mom branched out and made Oyster & Collard soup. If it sounds interesting, you can imagine it tasted even more interesting. Some of the comments made were....................."It tastes like cleaning fluid"
"Are oysters boys?"
"It kinda looks like grass soup"

A Man of Many Talents

Dad went from jammin with the Allman Brothers on his air guitar... to preppy-southern-doctor-golfer-man in the span of about 10 minutes.
Happy New Year!!!We don't think it's possible to get a picture of Mom with both her eyes open and a normal face. This time we got the open eyes.Kent gave a fireworks show at Midnight. Our dog flipped out the whole night.. at one point Chips wasn't barking anymore and Mom thought he might have died from a heart attack. He survived though :)
