Granddoggy

Special guest appearance was made by Oliver over the Christmas vacation.

Christmas Eve

Mom broke the news to us awhile back that she'd have to work Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day. This was big news since Mom or Dad have never missed these days with us. Not even Dad who was in school for 25 years of his life and has had 3 big jobs. Mom goes back to work for 2 months and she's gone for the biggest holiday EVER. We're still working through it...
She came home around 8PM on Christmas Eve. We sang Feliz Navidad to her and here she is dancing. Dad, Anna and Robin helped make the delicious Christmas Eve meal. A special request was made to have Sara's carrot cake. We ate that while we played a game.Wes and Sara introduced us to a new twist on Pictionary. The game has to do with drawing and trying to figure out other people's drawings. For example, Kent had to draw the saying that Dad wrote down (Saying: "The glory has departed") and then Kait had to translate Kent's drawing (Translation: "Jesus interceded for Adam and Eve in the garden"...it had to be something smart/bible-ish because it was Dad's drawing) The drawing/translating goes in a circle until it gets back to Dad. It was a hit! You should try it. Concentrated players here...The guys chatting after the game.Sara's 3-D glasses! Dad has eyes open and no smile. Mom has eyes closed and a smile. A perfect match.Settling down for It's a Wonderful Life. Don't look so happy, Kent.

Christmas 09

Christmas '09 will be known as The Year of the Sleepover. Everyone slept over on Christmas Eve AND Christmas night (tonight). It's been a Christmas to remember...pictures and details to come. We hope you've enjoyed your Christmas. We're so thankful that Jesus was born to save us from our sins! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Here we are watching It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve. The movie didn't end until after Midnight and only half of the crowd could stayed awake for the whole movie...just another sign that we're getting older and more boring.

Planning Ahead

We're not quite to Christmas yet, but we have a beach house for July! We've never planned this far ahead, but we're excited! Parker Beach Trip 2010....getcha' poker face ready.

Bringin Home the Bacon

Kait bringing home the bacon! Actually bringing it to Mom's house because she knows what to do with it. Thanks to GES for the Christmas ham!

Goodies

Christmas wouldn't quite be complete without some goodies to munch on! They taste even better if they're made at 3:30 in the afternoon by a college girl who stays in PJs all day.

Pink

The goal was to help Chippers get warm for the winter. The poor guy is stuck out in the garage Was the update on the blog? Dad kicked him out of the house because he has a weak bladder in his old age.....in other words, he peed right in front of Dad one time and once was all it took! He's freezing outside!
Ma is to blame for the girly, pink sweater.

"Does this shirt make me look fat or is it just my fat lump?"
Two hours later his back legs got stuck in the shirt and we had to take it off. So, he's back to freezing again. We love you, Chips and we blame Dad!

Birthday Shout Out

On the Road

We took off yesterday to celebrate Anna's birthday. We've never done an On the Road Birthday before. We picked up Anna outside of her dorm and went to lunch at Hyman's Seafood. It was tasty! She snagged a free dessert for being the birthday girl!
She needed a little help eating it.
We walked around the market after lunch
We spotted a cute couple strolling down the streets of Charleston. Precious.
We couldn't find a great place to finish off the celebration...The restaurant? The park? Barnes and Noble? Mom chose a bench by the tennis courts. Here are Anna & Dad waiting for the big finale....
Her CAKE! It was pretty windy and the candle flame was alive for a second.
We tried to light it just one more time with no success. We also ate the cake with no success because Mom remembered the napkins, but forgot forks and a knife! So Anna decided to wait and eat it later.
It was 19 years ago today (Dec. 5) that Mom&Dad were welcoming #4 into the world!
She opened lots of presents. She's admiring her cozy new pj pants.
The group! Feel the love. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA!!!

Post Thanksgiving

We don't have any family ph0tos from Thanksgiving Day. We were scattered over a couple of states on that day. On Friday the girls, Mom, Dad and Kent went down to Georgia for a post Thanksgiving get together with Mom's side of the family. There was lots of good food to eat!
This is a new bunny that Cousin Connor has. He has 4 of them. The flash on Mom's camera was off so most of the following pictures are a little off. Here are the girls with Grandma.
