Christmas Eve

Mom broke the news to us awhile back that she'd have to work Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day. This was big news since Mom or Dad have never missed these days with us. Not even Dad who was in school for 25 years of his life and has had 3 big jobs. Mom goes back to work for 2 months and she's gone for the biggest holiday EVER. We're still working through it...
She came home around 8PM on Christmas Eve. We sang Feliz Navidad to her and here she is dancing. Dad, Anna and Robin helped make the delicious Christmas Eve meal. A special request was made to have Sara's carrot cake. We ate that while we played a game.Wes and Sara introduced us to a new twist on Pictionary. The game has to do with drawing and trying to figure out other people's drawings. For example, Kent had to draw the saying that Dad wrote down (Saying: "The glory has departed") and then Kait had to translate Kent's drawing (Translation: "Jesus interceded for Adam and Eve in the garden"...it had to be something smart/bible-ish because it was Dad's drawing) The drawing/translating goes in a circle until it gets back to Dad. It was a hit! You should try it. Concentrated players here...The guys chatting after the game.Sara's 3-D glasses! Dad has eyes open and no smile. Mom has eyes closed and a smile. A perfect match.Settling down for It's a Wonderful Life. Don't look so happy, Kent.
