New Student

Our school semesters are winding down and almost over but for one of us, their semester is just beginning. A long long long time ago...like 30 years ago... Mom was a nurse. She supported the new fam while Dad went to seminary and until her (awesome) children came along. Her nursing liscense ran out, but she just enrolled in a refresher course! She is upstate today at the orientation. We made her a first day of school present.. Go Mom!

Throw Back Phone

We may not have cell phones, but we do have a throw back phone! Anna bought a Saturday night splurge. The phone actually blends in quite nicely with all of Mom's "treasures" in the back of this picture. Testing out the new phoneWe had some work done on our walkway out back. Mom and Dad had some touch up work to do and not even the rain could stop them a few weeks ago.Mom loves yard work. We'll never understand it, but she does. She's also practicing her peace sign for all the paparazzi.Watching the grass grow after dinner

Bless ya, bless ya

Turn up the volume and be blessed! We know you want to live at a house where choir robes are bought at the Goodwill store and gospel music is playing all the time. We'll let you borrow the robe.

Mail

It's always fun to get mail. Yesterday Kait was happy to get the latest Oprah magazine, but Anna was even happier to receive a letter telling her that she was accepted for the hospital internship this summer! We will make sure to tell a certain doctor who works at the hospital to give her a hard time while she's there. Another thing the gals have in common is the fact that they can not make a batch of cookies without messing up the recipe! These cookies were made last night by Kait (and we can blame Kent too just for fun..he was "helping") The dough looked sorta white... Note to self: when the recipe calls for sugars, there's usually more than one kind. A few weeks ago Anna had a cookie-making craze and made a couple of batches and each time something was a little off. From now on we are buying cookie dough from Rachel C. Her cookies always turn out great!

Breakfast

There's nothing like waking up on a Saturday morning, peeling an orange and finding THIS. It looked like an alien was going to jump out of it. Ewww.

What a Shame

Dad is a great guy. He's a doctor and interim pastor. Which means he's a busy guy who has to dress up a lot and put on a good show. We know he works hard. Mom is behind the scenes ironing shirts and pants every morning. He's got a gazillion ties... we knew he dressed up a lot, but we didn't know what kind of toll it had taken on him until recently... He couldn't take the ties and dress shoes anymore. He had had enough and he did it. He committed fashion suicide. All for the sake of exercise. What a shame.
