Scrabble

Scrabble time Mini-Wes gets into games like this.. especially when Dad challenges her word and she loses a turn. She's fun to pick on.
The beginnings of our Thankgiving menu. Yes, Thankgiving. We're thankful for college classes that help us spell good. And for grammar classes. Our pilgrim buddy could barely contain his excitement.. who's gonna win the scrabble game? Player #3 resting her eyes while Dad takes 25 minutes to come up with a word. We're going to have to buy a special timer and start enforcing a time limit. She feel asleep not long after.

The winner was Chuckles-I-have-3-degrees-and-my-huge-brain-is-protruding-out-of-my-forehead Parker. We all know he reads the dictionary in his spare time to prepare.

Chunky Cheeks

Remember the baby shower back in October? This is the little guy! Dorrian was born November 13th. The c-section turned out to be pretty complicated, but both Michelle and the baby were recovering nicely when we went to see them in the hospital. He's got really chunky cheeks and pretty, dark hair! You can pray for us as we try to love them.

Scrubs

Mom started at the hospital yesterday! Doesn't she look cute in her (Goodwill) scrubs? She is working to get all of her hours finished so that she can be completely finished with her refresher course. When that happens, you'll want to be here when you have your heart attack or asthma attack because we'll have a doctor and nurse in the house. Better yet, come on a Sunday because Sara might be here. That'd be 1 doctor and 2 nurses!

Brain Freeze

After hearing about our game 5 snack, our good friend Julie told us about a Rita's not too far from us. Now we have 2 quarts of Rita's water ice sitting in our freezer! Growing up, it was a big treat to get water ice. Hello childhood memories!
It's a little bit of a drive so we brought a cooler in the car to make sure it wouldn't melt on the way home. We dug into it right when we got home which caused some of us a brain freeze.

Thanks for letting us know, Julie!

Where's the Lid?

Why the long absence? Things have gotten boring around here. We may not be the most exciting fam, but we usually have something to talk about. It got so boring that Mom separated the Tupperware bottoms from the tops. Now we won't have to hunt for 10 minutes for a matching lid.So boring that Anna is doing yard work on a Saturday afternoon. Yeah right, she's getting money for that. No amount of boredom could make us do yard work. There's definitely money involved.

Good one

On the way home from the mall last night, we decided to help out the candidates and take some of their signs down. This was after the polls closed. We screamed

"There's one!"
"Pull over!"
"Pop the trunk!"

a whole lot on the ride home. We were just trying to help them out.
and use them to decorate Ben's room.Good one!!

Pass the Carbs, Please

Pastor Pops has called us every day at least once, but usually twice while in Kentucky. We all try to hop on the phone to say hi. We're looking forward to having him back, but until then...We're having a CARB PARTY. Doctor Dad likes things like whole wheat noodles and lots of veggies so our meals are usually meat and vegetables. Every time we have spaghetti he stops and asks, "Wait..are these noodles whole wheat?" We'll probably live till we're 108 years old, but we need some good ol' junk food every now and then. This was tonight's dinner. We're also going crazy and taking showers later than 10pm.. we have to go wild while we can!

Thankful Wall

Come on by and sign our Thankful Wall! It'll be up until Thanksgiving and you might wanna hurry before Mom puts Dad's name up there again. He's on there 4 times already. We can't decide if she's a thankful wall cheater or just really thankful for him.

Fried Chicken

Dad left for Kentucky on Friday evening. He's preaching at a Revival at Buckgrove Baptist Church! He's bringin the Word, screaming & shouting for 5 sermons from Sunday-Wednesday. Pray with us as he preaches! Mom misses her boyfriend terribly. Here's a glimpse into our church. Dad's the guy with the bald forehead. To hear his sermons click here.
