Part 2: FOOD
Every year we have a huge shrimp night. It was 6 0r 7 pounds of shrimp this year.JUMBO shrimp!
Wes and Sara with their (deeelicious) apple pies.
Kent prepping the ice cream churns.
DIG IN!! The flavors were peach and strawberry.
YumO! And for the record...Dad took the lead and made sure Mom did as little dish cleaning as possible. Go Pops.

Part 1: Da' Beach
These are the folks that funded the week long party. THANKS GUYS! The red hot chili pepper boys using the skim board. Wes had to pile on the sunscreen over his booboo. See the white streak across his nose? It looks like a breatheRight strip.
New game...wet sand pile up!!!
We missed Ben mucho (he started a new job) but we managed (somehow) to get on without him.
Do you like see-food?
Ma, the beautiful beach babe.
Our church friends, the Buffett's, were there at the same time and we spent an afternoon with them. Here is Dad with their little girl. He's going to be a fun Grandpappy someday (and we're going to tell all the kids to call him Grandpappy or ReverendDoctorPappy)
Kent catching some waves
Left to Right we have Wes, Ma, Kent, Chuck and Anna. Maybe.
We spent everyday on the beach from about 10AM-5PM. It helped that we had a tent this year. The tent actually went up higher the first couple days, but one leg was bent by the wind a couple of days in so it turned into a fort. To help our all day beach days, the tent helped & Dad's motto: "The ocean is your toilet"

Birfy Boy
A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY and HAPPY 1ST DAY OF TEACHING goes out to the oldest parker kid, Wesley-Wesaleyy-Wes-Wewo, on this big day. He turned 25 and began his teaching career as a middle school science teacher! We're happy to report that he survived his first day. This is him playing Scategories at the beach. We played games every night- beach pictures and stories will be around soon. There are lots of transitions happening in the life of the fam, so we're holding on tight for awhile!

Wonder Wall
Who will get stung by a jellyfish? Who will win in poker? How many pounds of shrimp will we eat? Who will have the worst sun burn? How long will it take Anna to get ready to go to the beach? How many hours of ESPN will we watch? Will Ben come for a visit? How will the home made ice cream taste? How many evening walks will we take? Who will do the dishes for Mom so she can have a vacation? All of these questions answered after a long week at the beach as we celebrate the annual PARKER BEACH TRIP. 2009 edition.
