FFA
You've probably heard of the FFA. These guys aren't raising cows or pigs, but they are members of another FFA. Future Fathers of America. Don't count your chickens before the hatch and all that, but here is the FFA sleeping while they can on Father's Day. And they've got the matchypoo thing going on with their bathing suits. Precious.

Raise your hand if...
Raise your hand if your Dad...
Plans post graduation parties, taught you the reason for the ocean tides (every summer vacation), was the pitcher for batting practice, sat in the baby pool with you in the middle of the summer, taught you how to ride your bike on the gravel track at the park, didn't want middle names for you (or was it Mom who didn't want them?...an ongoing debate), was in school for approximately 25 years of his life, was voted most popular in high school, ran into the back of a car backing out of the garage, ran into a tree backing out of the garage, led family worship time on his guitar with songs like "I woke up this morning with my mind set on Jesus", taught you how to pop a pimple the right way, pops the "big" pimples even though he taught you how, moved you into college (everybody but Kait), talked about boys/girls that you liked, convinced you that he was "a rock" when it came to keeping it a secret (he is), played wiffle ball, made you watch the Henry V movie, wears socks and sandals...to church, held funeral services in the backyard with you for the hamster or fish that died, answers to "Big Poppy".
Everyone who grew up in the Parker House should raise their hand! We love our Dad!

Noisy Oyster
Today the gals made a quick trip to Charleston for Anna's college registration! It was HOT. One bank sign said 100 degrees. The campus has no shade spots so it was a little toasty! This is the the "Help, I'm lost and I need to check out my map" pictures. Soon she won't need it! TADAAA!!! A sign on one of the dorm room doors. That's a new one to us. All of the people at the college kept looking at both Anna and Kait because they weren't sure which one was actually attending this fall. The campus minister even said it out loud. "So you both are coming next fall?" Hey, some people can't help it if they look 15 yrs old. Paparazzi waiting and ready to shoot. This is coming out of the bathroom. Anna reallllllly wanted to go back to the Noisy Oyster, a restaurant close by. We ended up driving all around(like 45 minutes) before we ended up right back on the campus to ask for directions. We finally made it!! It was delish. And Anna survived the day! Ask to see her new school I.D. She's not a fan.

Behind the Scenes
We're looking forward to sharing lots of pictures with you from the wedding, graduation and other fun summer events. Posts might be sporadic because pictures are now on a few different computers, but we'll try to keep on posting regularly! There will also be different blog "posters" now! Do you think we can even teach Mom to blog? That might be a stretch.. Here are few pictures from decorating the church and reception site. These were the flower/bows before they were hung on the pews. Saturday morning (does anyone know why this is underlined and how to stop it?) helpers. Pam and John on the left.
There were so many people that helped with the wedding prep. A big thanks to...Robin, Pam, Rainer, John, Elise, Christina, Marita, Mary, Tim, Lynn, Alldyn, Kerith, Parker Family, Suits Family, Karin, Greg, Nancy, Jay, Lydia, Janet... who's not listed?? THANK YOU.
Aunt Lynn (Mom's sis on the right) and Mary (left) hanging some fabric. They all worked hard to decorate the reception site which couldn't be decorated until Saturday morning! Time crunch.
Tim and Mary came all the way from Philly to help! Thanks to Robin, we have lots of detail pictures from the entire weekend!
